Origin & historyThe Anatolian Shepherd Dog comes from Turkey. The FCI places it in Group 2 (Pinscher, Schnauzer, Molossoid & Swiss Mountain Dogs): breeds bred for guarding, protection, draught and mountain work.
Grooming & careHigh: dense double coat sheds heavily. Brush often and never shave it, as the coat also shields from sun.
