Origin & historyThe Schnauzer comes from Germany. The FCI places it in Group 2 (Pinscher, Schnauzer, Molossoid & Swiss Mountain Dogs): breeds bred for guarding, protection, draught and mountain work.
Grooming & careModerate: wiry coat needs hand-stripping or clipping a few times a year.

Some breeds and their crosses are restricted or banned in parts of the UAE. Check your municipality's rules before buying or importing a dog.
